Surrounded by green rolling hills and stretches of farmland, 40,000 people now called Brentwood home. Nestled between Nashville and Franklin/Cool Springs, on the 1-65 corridor, Brentwood is well positioned for growth. In fact, it has had to restrain over development in order to maintain the small town atmosphere.
Maryland Farms is a huge class A office park that is home to several national headquarters. Brentwood recently added to its downtown to better meet the needs of this thriving business community. The Hill Center is the latest multi-use addition to Maryland Farms. Across Franklin Road, CItyPark is another mixed use development with office space, restaurants, and a new hotel built around the historic Mooreland Mansion.
There are nice public parks, including Deerwood, Concord, and Crockett (with a jogging and bike path, athletic fields, and an amphitheater). Brentwood also has a great public library and a recreational center (with an Olympic size pool and indoor tennis courts). The public school system is considered among the best in the state and there are also excellent private school options.
Subdivisions along Franklin Road, such as Meadowlake, Brentwood Hills, McGavock Farms, and Princeton Hills, give buyers a variety of options. East (of I-65) are several residential developments along Concord Road, including Brookfield and Governors Club. Further west, neighborhoods such as Holly Tree Farms, Windstone, and Hidden Valley are built into the hillier terrain. The average price of homes in Brentwood is north of $700,000.
Relative to the cost of living, Brentwood is one of the wealthiest small cities in the country. With convenient access to the areas around Nashville, it is a nice place to call home.
