In the last couple of decades, Cool Springs has literally sprung out of the ground to become a business and shopping mecca. The towns of Brentwood and Franklin share the Cool Springs area, with most of the real estate falling on the Franklin side of the fence. By commercially developing Cool Springs, Franklin has wisely been able to preserve the small town charm of its downtown.

The Cool Springs Galleria Mall and the Thoroughbred Movie Theatre anchor the shopping area, along with around 200 restaurants and a plethora of shops to numorous to mention. While the major dining chains dominate the scene, there are local eateries, such as Wild Ginger, Genie's Persian Palace, and Noshville. The recent development of Carothers Boulevard opens up a whole new area of shopping options.

Businesses, small and large, have set up shop in the rapidly expanding office parks. Nissan, MetLife, Provident Music, and PRIMUS Financial Services (Ford Credit) are a few of the bigger companies headquarterd in Cool Springs, along with recent addition of Jackson Liberty Life Insurance. To accomodate the Nissan, Cool Springs added a new off ramp (McEwen Road), bringing new opportunity for future development.

Condos and single-family homes skirt around the edges of this thriving business community. Brentwood Pointe and Parkside at Aspen Grove are two condo complexes in the heart of Cool Springs. Liberty Hills, Cool Springs East and Carronbridge represent the range of possibilities in the residential market.
